“Second time here was charmed. Warm, windy days played into balmy nights of fun. We found rays and turtles, and marveled at the staff’s amazing efforts. All of these 10 days have been magical.”

“What a beautiful house! We had a fantastic, very relaxing week here at Casa Soleada. The home was perfect for the six of us. The food every morning was the best we had anywhere all week. Our college son especially loved all the tasty dinners. The staff are so hospitable and accommodating. We loved the peace and quiet of the area and the close proximity to Tulum. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful home. Thank you so much.”

“One week was not long enough!”

“Many 5 star hotels and resorts can not hold a candle to this beautiful and well cared for home. Everything from the comfortable bedrooms each with a private bath, to the well-appointed kitchen, and lovely outdoor living space was perfect! The caretakers are friendly and efficient without being obtrusive, and Edith cooked several authentic Mexican and Mayan dishes for us which were fabulous. Two restaurants just a short walk down the beach were very good as well.

We kayaked, paddle boarded, and snorkeled in the crystal blue/green waters right off our beach, but do bring water shoes as the entry into the water is quite rocky. There is a cenote for snorkeling just across the street also. Although the pool is small, it is nice for a refreshing dip after lounging in a beach chair in the warm sun. We enjoyed the night sky with a million stars and the sunrises were spectacular from the upper deck.

We highly recommend this property and will likely return again soon!”

“Great house for family vacations”

“We had an amazing holiday week in Casa Soleada with our family. The house is spacious, well equipped, nicely decorated and the carekeepers are amazing. We were there with 3 generations, including some young babies and they had everything we need (baby cots, high chairs etc). Really the perfect house for a family gathering on the beach ! Not to mention all the delicous meals prepared by the staff (pancakes, chiles rellenos, ceviche, ….). The location is also perfect, as it is near a lot of activities, but on a quiet portion of the beach where you can relax and enjoy the beauty almost all alone.

This stay has been amazing for us and we would love to come back very soon with friends or family!”

“Fantastic!”

“This was a perfect home away from home for us and our children and our grands … 11 of us total. Yobany even ‘butchered’ a fresh turkey for our Thanksgiving meal and Edith fixed us a holiday meal similar to what she might fix for her family. The photos of this property should be updated because the landscaping has grown and is magnificent. Also, the kitchen/living area is much nicer and much larger than we expected. We tend to do a lot of exploring when we vacation and this home was central for all of our desired jaunts. We love the beach at Tulum … powdered sugar sand … perfection … and close to visit. The beach in front of this villa offers a wonderful contrast … great for fishing, kayaking snorkeling and other activities. I was just recovering from major foot surgery so being just 10 steps from the water was something I really appreciated! Edith cooked 4 of our evening dinners and each was wonderful! The restaurant at Casa Cenote was convenient and good … we also really enjoyed eating at “Blue Sky;” especially the pizza (shrimp and avocado … YUMMY!) After leaving the house and before heading back to the airport, we had to stop one last time for one more pizza! We highly recommend this property and would love to return someday.”

“Shhh! Let’s keep it our secret!”

“Everything was great. Edith and Yobany were gracious, accommodating, and helpful, the food was delicious (all 8 of us agreed, the best Chile Rellenos EVER), and the house is lovely and well laid out. We made use of both the kayaks and the SUPs, and snorkeled in front of Casa Cenote restaurant every day. There are plenty of activities close by if you want to venture out – we recommend Alltournative Maya Experience, Tulum and Coba ruins, Dos Ojos cenote (bring an underwater flashlight!), Yal Ku at Akumal for colorful fish snorkeling and Akumal Bay to see turtles (no charge, except to park), and of course Casa Cenote (best chips and Ojo Rojo) and Blue Sky restaurants (excellent Fetuccini Alfredo) and Cenote Manatee right there at Tankah. Or, you can just chill at the pool, walk on the beach, and take in the gorgeous views. This was our 3rd trip to the Riviera Maya but our first at Casa Soleada, and we’ve already booked for next year.”

“Amazing Tankah Family Vacation!!”

“Wow! We just returned from our 2 week stay near Tulum at Casa Soleada. Our party included a 5 year old, parents, grandparents and family friends. Everyone had a wonderful time, the house was more spacious than expected and the caretakers excellent. The kitchen is big and very easy for many people to cook together. Edith also cooked some wonderful meals for us.

The house is laid out wonderfully. Each bedroom feels private and the bathrooms are great. The outdoor patios, pool area, gardens, and beachfront are well designed and maintained.

This was our third time in a Tankah house and we could not be happier with Casa Soleada. We will rent this property again and recommend it whole heartedly.”

“Wonderful time in Tankah!”

“We just returned from 2 weeks at Casa Playa Azul, and it was wonderful! The house is beautiful and very well maintained. The layout was perfect for our group with enough privacy for everyone but plenty of room to congregate inside and out. The caretakers were so good to take care of our every need and, best of all, the food they cooked was absolutely delicious. Next time, we’ll eat every dinner there. We spent a lot of time on the patio and beach and really enjoyed the night sky from our lounge chairs. We struggled a bit the first week with how to swim off the beach. We have always stayed in places where you could walk right into the surf on a sandy surface and play in the waves. The Tankah area is a different kind of swimming experience…you wear water shoes, walk out a few yards in very shallow water on an uneven rocky surface, and once you get to where the water is 2-3 feet deep, you just lay down and start snorkeling. And the snorkeling is incredible!! We saw a sea turtle, a giant conch shell, all kinds of colorful fish, and lots of different coral. I wore a life jacket and fins, and I could have stayed in all day. When we wanted a sandy shore with waves to play in, we drove about 15 minutes away to El Paraiso beach club in Tulum. We also visited several cenotes in the area and they were great places to swim. Great restaurants just a short walk away and so much to do nearby. The owners provide a ton of information on the area, and the whole booking process with them was very easy. I hope we can visit Tulum again soon, and when we do, we will definitely stay at Casa Playa Azul again.”

Renee C. - Playa Azul

“The Best!”

“We have stayed at both properties and love them both. What can I say…we loved our stay! Home is perfect. Well equiped with all the comforts of home plus more! The caretakers are absolutely wonderful! Edith and Yobany are the best. They go above and beyond to make your stay perfect! Can’t say enough about them.”
