“Breathtaking holiday.”

“The house was fabulous. Thanks to Lali ( our house keeper and cook) made our stay very comfortable, delicious and luxurious. The house is very clean and very safe. The beach is breathtaking, sitting on the beach first thing in the morning reading a book and listening to the waves is the highlight to this trip. We would go back again in a second, it was very hard to leave.”

“A Slice of Heaven”

“If you want a slice of heaven here on earth rent this house. It is absolutely perfect in every way – well appointed, well maintained by wonderful caretakers, on a beautiful beach with snorkeling, kayaking, cenote swimming, eating, drinking – its all right there in front of you every day. And, only a 10 minute ride to Tulum Beach which is undoubtedly the most beautiful beach on earth.”

“Vacationing here is like a week in heaven”

“Staying at this house is absolutely magnificent. Everything single thing about it was perfect for our stay – the house is well appointed, caretakers are amazingly responsive and sweet, owners are a pleasure to deal with and the location on Tankah Bay couldnt be better. Swimming, kayaking, swimming in the cenote, going to the little restaurants on the beach, walking, using the pool….it was all perfect. Its a great place for couples traveling together or families. there is nothing not to like about this house. Its just perfect in all ways.”

“2nd time at Casa Playa Azul”

“This was our fifth year vacationing in Tankah Bay and second year at Casa Playa Azul. This was a family vacation with two adults and four college age and older children. We had such a great vacation in 2013 that we immediately booked Azul for 2014. The location in Tankah Bay is perfect; just a few houses down from the Casa Cenote beach side and Blue Sky brick oven pizza restaurants. These will give you two options to walk to for dinner, lunch or cocktails at two great establishments. There is also small “convenience” store that has beer, soft drinks, eggs, milk, limes. etc.; this will help if you find yourself short of any provisions. Tankah Bay is a gated community about 15 minutes from Tulum Beach; this gives you even more options for fun and dining. We took advantage of Edith’s chef services and frankly this is another huge uptick for this particular rental house. Edith prepared 5 evening meals for us – more family time- more relaxing-no driving. If you stay at this home, you should absolutely have Edith prepare at least some of you meals. We picked the meals and had Edith do the shopping and cooking. Very reasonably priced relative to dining out and her meals are outstanding. We followed the tipping guidelines provided by the owners at their website. Edith also did two loads of laundry for us in the middle of week (allows for packing lighter –carry on luggage) The charge of 50 pesos (roughly $4 US) per load is extremely resonable and a great time saver. The rest of the staff keeps the house immaculately cleaned and maintained. All of the extras are exactly as advertised: cooking utensils, snorkeling equipment, kayaks, baby gear, games, first aid kits and even a Margaritaville Frozen drink maker (all in working order). The house is big enough to allow alone time and there are areas like the pool or upstairs patio for family members to read a book and chill. We spent a lot of time on the downstairs patio and beach in front of the house. The internet allowed everyone to stay connected and there is Canadian cable, which covered all the U. S. sports and news outlets. For sight seeing the Tulum Mayan ruins are just 10 minutes away. We also visted the ruins at Cohba about 35-40 munites but definetly worth the trip. You can still climb the pyramid at Cohba and that is a neat experince. We took a side trip to one of the area,s many cenotes and there is a small cenote a few houses down the street.”

“Spectacular week in Tankah”

“Just enjoyed another fabulous week in Tankah, this time staying in Casa Soleada. This new villa is stunning and no comforts have been overlooked. The rooms are spacious and the attention to detail and decoration is perfect. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful with all requests. The gourmet kitchen complete with Margarita maker is superb. My party of six absolutely loved the breakfasts and dinners cooked by Edith and Odalis. Be sure to have the ceviche, it’s to die for. We also thoroughly enjoyed and can reccommend the: Chiles Rellenos, Sopa de Lima, and Chicken Enchiladas with salsa verde. Don’t forget to have the flan! Also, the guacamole and salsa were excellent. The snorkeling in the bay is easy and there’s lots of fish and rays to see. Don’t miss snorkeling Manatee Cenote either. This property is first rate all around, especially with Yobany’s lovely landscaping. We are already planning to return soon!”
